As someone who was born and raised in Arizona, which is in the middle of the desert, I never though I'd have to evacuate because of storm, but I made the decision to go to college on the Georgia coast. Ladies and gents, I am writing this journal from a bus heading for Atlanta because Hurricane Matthew is heading right for my dormitory.
Don't worry. I am safe. I will not be there when that catagory 2 SOB wreaks havoc in my neck of the woods. You guys should expect more drawings as I will not have anything better to do.
UPDATE: I have finally arrived...12 hours later. A trip that we were told would between 6 and 10 hours lasts 12 hours. We left at 2pm and it is now 2am. This is BS. I shouldn't complain though. My school offered me the chance to evacuate with them because I have no other means of escape. Some people just have to bunker down and hope for the best, and this hurricane has already taken lives and homes. I'm very great full for these events, as unfavorable as they may be and am trying to show support for those who were hit harder. However, the only thing on my mind right now is sleep.
